Attention to the population

The People's Power, as the basis of the Cuban political system, by its essence, pursues the objective of controlling the work of the administrations, thereby promoting popular participation, a task carried out by the assemblies at all levels based on the mechanisms created, with an increasing representation of the people, raising awareness of the words of the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Lazo, when he expressed that, "... what affects the people, cannot be alien to us..."

Attention to the population constitutes a policy of principles, inherent in our system of popular government, which is why, in the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, article No. 63 establishes the right of every citizen to address complaints, petitions and receive a response and adequate attention from the authorities, and it is up to everyone to demand compliance.

It is essential for the Party, the People's Power, the Revolution and the Socialist State to pay attention to the people, their problems and demands, since it is their supreme objective, to work to ensure the systematic elevation of the material and spiritual well-being of Cuban society.

Attention to the population, in addition to being a constitutional right of the citizen, is an event of extraordinary political significance and a valuable source of information, which generally points out foci of problems, difficulties, errors and therefore become, well used, working instruments.

Mission of the Population Service Offices

Attend, evaluate, investigate in accordance with the procedures established for requests, complaints, denunciations and suggestions of the population. Promote a high professionalism in the processes of attention and analysis of the complaints and denunciations received, so that inconsistent attitudes do not go unpunished, which affects the exemplary nature of the cadres and the image of the Revolution.

The functions of this activity require deep human sensitivity, to preserve ethics as an essential element of the personnel designated to perform the task, to be trained to listen and be able to transmit the policy of the State and the Government; orto guide the citizen in correspondence with the issue or issue raised, offering the required attention, with serenity and simplicity.

Opening hours in government:

Office of Attention to the Population in the government: from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, by the funcionarias: Leidys Silva Licea and Yanelis Figueredo Bermúdez.

President of the Municipal Assembly: second and fourth Saturdays of each month 8.00am to 12:00m

Vice President of the Municipal Assembly: second and fourth Friday of each month 8.00am 12:00m

Secretary of the Municipal Assembly: first and third Saturdays of each month 8:00am to 12:00m

Coordinator of programs and objectives of the Distribution: first and third Saturdays of each month from 8:00am to 12:00m
